Digital experiences built for how people and AI discover, decide and act.
Tangible is an independent Sydney digital agency. We work across digital strategy, websites and platforms, SEO, AI search, paid media, analytics and conversion rate optimisation to help organisations be found, understood and chosen.
You can start a conversation about your problem, or look at the work below.
Trusted by organisations where the scrutiny is real
Founded in Sydney in 2014, Tangible has completed more than 600 projects. The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is a Tangible client.
Five sentences we hear most weeks.
- Search:
“We rank for our own name and nothing else.”
We'd look at what your buyers search for, then at the pages they find instead of yours. - Conversion:
“The site looks right and converts nothing.”
Show us where people give up. That's a better starting point than another redesign. - AI search:
“AI answers questions about us, and gets them wrong.”
We'd check the facts available about you and where the wrong answer may be coming from. - Analytics:
“We can't tell which half of the spend is working.”
First, we'd check what you're actually tracking. Then we can talk about which numbers you trust. - How we work:
“The last agency left and took the knowledge with them.”
We'd look at where essential knowledge sits and how your team could keep operating if we left.
None of these? Tell us yours in one sentence.
What the work achieved, and how we measured it.
Seven practice areas.
One senior team.
Design, build and search decided in the same conversation, because information architecture is a design problem and a ranking problem at the same time.
-
01
Digital strategy
Deciding what your digital presence and activity need to achieve, what matters most and what not to pursue.
Works with every other practice, or on its own. Your team, another supplier or Tangible can deliver the resulting roadmap.
-
02
Website design & development
WordPress, headless and custom builds, designed around the tasks people actually arrive with.
We work primarily with WordPress and Payload, with experience across other platforms including Drupal, Sitecore, Kentico and Shopify.
Works with SEO, AI & Search, paid media, CRO and analytics. Information architecture is decided with search, not after it, and the site gives CRO something worth testing.
-
03
SEO
Technical foundations, content that earns its rankings, and the local signals that matter in a Sydney search result.
Works with AI & Search, website design & development and analytics. All four share one technical foundation, one body of content and one set of numbers.
-
04
AI & Search
AI visibility, GEO and AEO, content intelligence, AI strategy and the way search behaviour is changing. Assistants should describe you accurately, and cite you as the source.
Works with SEO, website design & development and analytics. AI visibility is built on the same entities, structured data and content as SEO, and measured alongside it.
-
05
Paid media
Budget that goes where the return is, reviewed weekly rather than reported quarterly.
Works with website design & development, CRO and analytics. Paid traffic lands on pages the build team made and CRO tests, and is judged by the same numbers.
-
06
Analytics & tracking
GA4 and server-side tracking implemented properly, so the numbers you report are the numbers that actually happened.
Works with every other practice. It is the one set of numbers they all report against, and the reporting survives a board paper.
-
07
Conversion rate optimisation
Hypothesis, test, ship, against the exact steps where you're losing people.
Works with website design & development, paid media and analytics. Tests run on the site and the paid landing pages, and are judged by the analytics.

Digital changed. So did we.
Search is changing. Content is changing. The way people discover and evaluate a business is changing.
Tangible combines traditional digital expertise with AI search, content intelligence, governance and practical AI implementation. Same senior team, new methods.
For a set of buyer questions, the illustration shows whether an AI answer cites the business and in what position; how visible it is across Google results, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini; which facts about the organisation (its services, people, locations, reviews and credentials) are documented clearly enough for AI systems to use; and how organic visibility and AI citation share move over time. Together they show whether a business is being found, understood and recommended, not only ranked.
AI visibility
GEO and AEO: how assistants and answer engines find you, describe you, and cite you.
Content intelligence
Which content earns citations, which is decaying, and what's missing that buyers are asking about.
Governance
Policy, review and guardrails, so AI-assisted work stays accurate, accessible and on brand.
Practical implementation
AI built into real workflows and products, where it saves time or improves a decision.
Six things you can hold us to.
Every agency promises strategy, design and development. These go in writing, in the proposal.
No juniors between you and the work.
Senior people only. The person who scopes your work stays involved. No account manager relaying messages to a junior you never meet.
Named in the proposalPaid media changes within days.
Campaign pages are typically live the same week. No handover queue between three suppliers.
We do the parts others subcontract.
Core Web Vitals, structured data, server-side GA4, WCAG 2.2 AA.
We'll tell you not to.
Plenty of what we recommend costs you nothing and earns us nothing. In writing, before you spend.
Outcomes agreed before the first invoice.
Retainers are reported monthly in plain English, including the months that don't go our way. Reporting is tailored to the scope and needs of each engagement.
Nothing is hostage to us staying.
Ongoing work is month to month, with no minimum term.
No lock-inThe people named in the proposal are the people doing the work.

Glenn Hodson
Scopes and leads engagements. Previously worked with Samsung, Nestlé, Woolworths, Qantas and GSK.

A small senior team, deliberately. No bench to hand you down to after the pitch.
Our expertise overlaps across practices, so the people who scope your work often work across more than one discipline.
Meet the teamOur work spans government, including the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure; health, including Jean Hailes for Women's Health; and sport and venues, including Sydney Cricket Ground. Usually the work is led by a marketing or digital lead with a small internal team, who needs one partner across design, development and search rather than three who blame each other.
Tangible's track record and accreditations
WCAG 2.2 AA where a project requires it, such as Jean Hailes for Women's Health (assessed by Vision Australia).
The five we hear most weeks.
We already have an agency. Why would we move?
Usually you shouldn't move all of it. The common problem is that build, search and measurement sit with different suppliers who never speak, so the seams leak budget. Start with the one that isn't working, and we'll tell you honestly if the rest is fine.
See term 04, AdviceIsn't AI search just SEO with a new name?
The technical foundation is shared: crawlability, structured data, site speed. The citation work is not. A model has to know what your organisation is before it will name you, which is entity work, not keyword work.
AI search optimisationHow long before we see anything?
Paid media changes within days, and campaign pages are typically live the same week. Organic and AI visibility compound over quarters, not weeks, and we won't pretend otherwise. The measure set is agreed at kick-off so you can see it either way.
See term 02, SpeedWho actually does the work?
The people named in the proposal: a small senior team in Sydney. The person who scopes your work stays involved.
See term 01, TeamWhat happens if we leave?
Ongoing work is month to month, with no minimum term. A retainer that only survives because leaving is painful isn't one we want.
See term 06, TermsTell us what you're working on.
- Tell us what you're working on. The problem, or just the number. One paragraph is enough.
- Your first conversation is with a senior member of the team.
- Direct access to the senior people working on your account.
