Perpetual's Financial Health Calculator

In 2017, Tangible designed and built Perpetual's Financial Health Calculator in Sitecore as a responsive, visual financial health check rather than a traditional online form. It gave people an overall financial health score and passed lead details to Perpetual's financial advisers.

01

Tangible's role

Tangible's work covered strategy, web app development, UX/UI design and CMS work in Sitecore. That scope included the results experience and emails for participants and advisers.

02

What Perpetual needed

Perpetual's Financial Health Matrix needed data to assess an individual's financial health. Perpetual wanted a digital way to gather it for lead generation, so its financial advisers could find people who might benefit from their services. The solution also had to be search engine optimised and built in Sitecore, Perpetual's CMS.

03

A calculator people would finish

Tangible worked with Perpetual's marketing team to understand the matrix's principles and how its calculations would be made, then proposed the responsive calculator.

Responsiveness was the most critical design requirement. Touch-responsive elements in the UX and interface design encouraged people to use the calculator. On completion, people saw an overall financial health score and a rating for each question area. An animated sailing boat appeared in different weather conditions that changed with their financial health position.

From results to advisers

Tangible built a custom HTML email that sent each person their results in a visual layout with calls to action. Two admin emails passed lead details to Perpetual's financial advisers: one included a PDF generated from the calculator, and the other included the person's details.

During the campaign

The calculator was used more than 1,400 times during the campaign.
